Job: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure) at Rackspace Technology

Job Overview: Rackspace Technology is a leading provider of IT services for all major public and private cloud technologies. We have evolved our services to cover the entire spectrum of the cloud journey and provide Fanatical Experience™ from initial consultation to daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions in collaboration with engineering and architecture teams
• Perform cloud engineering tasks within agile sprints using established best practices and templates
• Build new cloud environments for customers using Azure's native services
• Utilize basic architecture concepts and reusable components to build automated infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and supporting toolsets
• Present technical solutions to various audiences, from developers to executives
• Advise customer teams and decision-makers on technology options, best practices, and the added value of cloud-native approaches
• Act as the voice of Rackspace in customer projects, responsible for quality, technical transparency, and implementation success

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in executing complex cloud projects from conception to productive deployment
• Expertise in designing, deploying, and operating automated, secure, and stable cloud infrastructures (Azure)
• Strong customer orientation and willingness to take on tasks such as provisioning, maintenance, and evolution of cloud-based systems
• Ability to participate in technical discussions at various levels, from architectural decisions to concrete implementation
• Application of automation-oriented principles within agile project methods
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as confident operation in German-speaking customer environments
• Fluent language skills in German (C1)
