The DevOps Engineer III position at Wayvia is a critical role in our Global DevOps and SRE team, focusing on advanced multi-cloud infrastructure management and automation. This remote work engineering position is central to driving the DevOps and Cloud transformation journey at Wayvia, enhancing our software engineering processes.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
Design and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
Ensure security best practices are implemented and maintained across the infrastructure.
Identify and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
Collaborate with global engineering teams to share knowledge and skills.
Conduct cost reviews and optimize cloud resources and infrastructure footprint.
Plan and execute initiatives to upgrade and scale systems, improving capacity, availability, reliability, and performance.
Provide operational support for all environments, including participation in a rotating On-Call schedule.
Required Qualifications
7-8 years of experience with cloud-based infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.
5-7 years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes in multi-cloud production environments.
Expertise in security and compliance best practices across global cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency in administrative scripting using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
Exceptional troubleshooting skills using tools like DataDog, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus in cloud-based environments.
Experience with IaC tools like Terraform, containerization technologies, and AWS services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in leading projects and mentoring junior team members in a remote work environment is highly desirable.
