Job Overview

Join Formlabs as a Senior DevOps Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping the infrastructure that drives our innovative products. This remote work engineering position is ideal for a seasoned software engineer looking to impact the way we build, scale, and maintain our leading-edge solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure to support the development, testing, and operation of Formlabs' software and services.
• Drive improvements in developer experience through enhanced CI/CD pipelines, observability, and platform tooling.
• Take proactive ownership of production systems focusing on monitoring, performance, and continuous improvement.
• Lead and contribute to architectural decisions impacting our infrastructure and engineering team interactions.
• Mentor other engineers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and promoting knowledge sharing.
• Develop and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms, cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS), and automation tooling.
• Ensure robust, actionable, and scalable monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform, or SRE roles supporting production SaaS systems.
• Hands-on expertise with Linux systems administration, Kubernetes, Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and scripting in Bash, Python.
• Strong understanding of modern infrastructure security principles and networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/S).
• Experience in managing complex distributed systems in production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with 3D printing workflows or hardware/software integration.
• Experience in building developer platforms or internal tooling for large engineering teams.
• Keen interest in enhancing engineering productivity and operational maturity through automation and innovative tooling.
