The Trading Platform Architect is an elite individual contributor role responsible for the long-term technical vision, scalability, and performance of Pepperstone’s core trading ecosystems and liquidity routing infrastructure. This role sits above day-to-day operations to spearhead our largest, highest-stakes infrastructure projects, such as multi-asset bridging configurations, global ultra-low latency server network designs, and complex LP integrations. You will act as the primary technical authority on platform architecture, ensuring our ecosystem is robust, secure, and built for massive volume growth, with no direct reports or line-management responsibilities.

🎯 The Role

The Trading Platform Architect is an elite individual contributor role responsible for the long-term technical vision, scalability, and performance of Pepperstone’s core trading ecosystems and liquidity routing infrastructure. This role sits above day-to-day operations to spearhead our largest, highest-stakes infrastructure projects, such as multi-asset bridging configurations, global ultra-low latency server network designs, and complex LP integrations. You will act as the primary technical authority on platform architecture, ensuring our ecosystem is robust, secure, and built for massive volume growth, with no direct reports or line-management responsibilities.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect the global deployment, topology, and failover logic of MT4, MT5, cTrader, and TradingView server environments
• Own the lifecycle of major infrastructure projects, including bridge migrations, cross-region server deployments, and new technology vendor integrations
• Optimize and scale liquidity bridging infrastructure (OneZero, PrimeXM) and advanced aggregation engines to minimize execution latency and slippage
• Engineer robust FIX API connectivity and custom routing rules to maximize execution quality across multiple Liquidity Providers (LPs)
• Conduct deep-dive technical diagnostics on complex structural platform anomalies, infrastructure bottlenecks, and feed pricing logic
• Collaborate as a strategic technical advisor with internal IT, DevOps, Trading Operations, and external institutional technology partners
• Ensure architectural compliance with global financial regulations and strict institutional security standards

📌 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Financial Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience specifically within the FX/CFD broker or institutional trading landscape.
• Mastery of trading platform server backends, with expert-level configuration knowledge of MT4, MT5, and cTrader.
• Expert knowledge of Liquidity Bridge Providers, specifically advanced configuration and aggregation logic in OneZero Hub and PrimeXM XCore.
• Deep understanding of the FIX protocol (FIX 4.2 / 4.4) and low-latency network infrastructure engineering.
• Proficiency in database management and analytics, specifically writing advanced SQL queries for trade data and server log analysis.
• Proven track record of independently delivery massive, complex fintech infrastructure projects from conception to completion
