You will

 

• Mentor engineers through code reviews and team discussions
• Implement Infrastructure as code best practices
• Evangelize and lead infrastructure automation culture with GitOps best practices
• Create monitoring, alerting and dashboarding solutions
• Build/deploy/maintain security controls, instrumentation, and detection infrastructure
• Foster innovation while maintaining a high bar for quality, scale, and performance
• Assist DevOps engineers through Pull Request reviews and collaborative design sessions
• Have an influence across the entire engineering team, with correspondingly large impact to customers
• Participate in the on-call rotation and help keeping it sustainable

 

Must have

 

• 5+ years experience as a SRE/Cloud engineer/DevOps role
• Extensive knowledge of engineering processes, structural design, and system optimization
• Be proficient with shell and programming languages used in a SRE context (bash, cron, python, javascript, golang, curl, grep, etc…)
• Experience with GitOps and infrastructure as code (IaC)
• Experience with infrastructure security and networking
• Experience with incident management
• Experience working with a highly collaborative team
• Driven by business impact

 

Nice to have

 

• Experience with technologies like Kubernetes, Kafka, DataDog, AWS cloud/SRE suite (Aurora, EKS, VPC, Lambdas, CloudFormation, etc.), postgres, Terraform, ArgoCD, Helm, Node.js
• Experience building fintech infrastructure
• Some bitcoin knowledge, and the urge to learn more
• A folder of SafeForWork reaction memes
