CAST AI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Kimchi AI platform team. Kimchi is the AI platform inside CAST AI, helping companies run LLMs on their own Kubernetes clusters and providing managed capabilities.

🎯 The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work on key features of our product across multiple parts of the tech stack. You will own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, and production rollout. Most projects ship in 1-4 weeks, and you'll collaborate directly with product and other engineering teams on complex problems.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Develop with observability in mind, identify bottlenecks and optimize for performance.
Design the datastores and distributed systems behind the inference API.
Build the billing, usage metering, and role-based controls for user monitoring and governance.
📌 Required Qualifications
Production experience with Go or Typescript is strongly preferred.
Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning skills.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
Experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Startup mindset: adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.
Strong English skills, both verbal and written.
Experience driving a complex project end-to-end.
⭐ Desirable Experience
Experience with multi-model inference and intelligent routing.
Experience with OpenAI-compatible APIs and deployment across GPUs and VPCs.
