Senior MS Build Engineer

• You are an experienced Azure focused DevOps Engineer who can support the delivery of builds/deployments across a Global System.
• You have strong PowerShell and ADO Build experience.

About The Role:

The DevOps Senior Engineer (DSE) is a hands-on technical role that directs and implements the automation of all manual tasks for the building and deployment of code, data, and other assets. This position will enable and be an evangelist of continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) across the organization. This individual will automate development and infrastructure processes so that we can seize opportunities without compromising quality.

The DSE will interact with application development teams, product owners, infrastructure architects, and other business stakeholders to review / identify and then implement processes that eliminate or reduce the need for manual intervention. The ideal candidate will champion the DevOps culture and be the change agent to help to foster a cultural shift in the software delivery process. Along with automation, they will focus on improving communication and collaboration that facilitate iterative improvement.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor (4-year) degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science or an equivalent combination of education & experience.
• 4+ years developing and implementing DevOps solutions
• 1+ year of experience with infrastructure management and monitoring.
• 1+ year of experience with system automation and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps Platform tooling
• Experience working with a team following Agile software development lifecycle practices
• Experience working with various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services (Azure, AWS, Google)
• Experience with integrating tests and new technologies into in-place CI frameworks
• Experience working with GitLab, Azure DevOps, Jira or similar systems for software development lifecycle management, source control, branching, and/or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with database concepts and data management and SQL
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Analytical mindset and ability to grasp complex topics.
• Ability to create and foster relationships within a team-oriented, collaborative environment leveraging excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new business processes and technologies
• Master of CI/CD/Build pipelines and DevOps concepts
• Understanding of scripting languages (PowerShell, Node,etc.)
• Understanding of concepts and tooling for containerization and orchestration (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes)
