🏢 About Zus Health

We are looking for an eager software engineering co-op to help build the next generation of healthtech tools. This co-op will be part of the Platform team. This team is responsible for the core transactional and analytical data stores that lie at the heart of all mission-critical data at Zus, the APIs for interacting with them, as well as the complex rules governing access control to patient data.

🎯 The Role

The engineer joining this team will work on projects that improve the usability, scalability, and performance of the platform, which needs to handle high data throughput and volumes that are constantly growing. The ideal candidate will be someone who is curious about both high and low-level technical details of data stores and pipelines, enjoys mission-critical challenges and edge cases, and has a strong desire to ensure that patient data is secure and used appropriately.

• The ability to overcome challenging obstacles independently.
• The self-awareness to recognize when outside assistance is needed.
• The desire to learn about building software in a professional environment
• The willingness to incorporate feedback into your work
• The ability to write clean code
• A love of solving complex problems
• A self-starter attitude that shows that you are ready for the fast, and sometimes unstructured, nature of an early startup.
• Located in the Boston, MA area and willing to join us in the office or regularly meet with a local mentor on a regular basis for collaborative work

• Able to work on a co-op from January through June
