We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to architect, build, and maintain next-generation AWS cloud platform. This role combines deep technical expertise in Information Security, Identity and Access Management, cloud architecture, networks, and DevOps practices while ensuring platform reliability, security, and operational excellence. Periodic international travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Architecture (40%)
Design and Implementation of cloud network architectures, primarily in AWS
Advanced level understanding of VPCs, subnets routing, and Transit Gateways
Implement and manage core AWS networking services such as Route 53, Direct Connect, and VPNs
Optimize network performance for high availability
Ensure multi-tenant isolation and resource management
Identify and design system security requirements using security best practices and compliance requirements
Advanced understanding of NACLs and Security Groups
Develop standard operating procedures and protocols
Advanced understanding of IPAM and DNS
Monitor and troubleshoot network issues
Design and implementation of hybrid cloud connectivity solutions
Create and maintain comprehensive architectural diagrams
Lead security incidents involving cloud network systems
Architect high-availability solutions ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery
Optimize platform performance and resource utilization across environments
Define integration patterns for microservices architectures
Infrastructure Automation (40%)
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform for AWS resources
Implement GitOps workflows
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment
Automate routine operational tasks using shell scripting
Manage backup and recovery procedures across the platform
Operations & Observability (20%)
Design and implement monitoring solutions using Prometheus and DataDog
Create and maintain alerting systems and dashboards
Lead troubleshooting of complex platform issues related to networks
Participate in on-call rotation
Maintain operational documentation and runbooks
