Key Responsibilities
Maintain and ensure the availability of both cloud and physical Linux servers crucial for the Palantir platform in secure, air-gapped production environments.
Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure supporting both customer and product needs using advanced orchestration and monitoring tools such as Kubernetes and Prometheus.
Work closely with product teams to define requirements and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for new software deployments in secure environments.
Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network and system issues.
Develop scripts to automate routine operational tasks, enhancing system efficiency and reliability.
Provide expert technical support for production issues, ensuring quick resolutions and minimal operational disruption.
Engage in an on-call support rotation to ensure 24/7 service reliability and performance.
Required Qualifications
Must possess an active security clearance.
Over 4 years of experience in Linux system administration, with a preference for those familiar with RHEL or similar distributions.
Strong background in cloud-based platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, or in managing hardware-based environments.
Skilled in utilizing monitoring tools such as Prometheus for system health checks.
Proficient in programming with languages such as Java, Go, Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced experience with container technologies like Docker or Podman and orchestration systems such as OpenShift or Kubernetes.
Relevant Certifications: DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (CISSP, Sec+), Unix/Linux Computing Environment certifications (Linux+, RHCE).
