Join our team as a DevOps Engineer in a dynamic remote workengineering position. You will contribute to the open energy transition by enhancing our innovative technology solutions, focusing on our Cloud Solver tool for efficient large-scale energy modeling.
Key Responsibilities
Provision, design, and manage cloud infrastructure specifically for the OET’s Cloud Solver, supporting complex energy modeling workflows.
Deploy software engineer products across multiple services to production environments, ensuring security and reliability.
Implement security measures to protect sensitive client data in compliance with geo-restrictions and privacy policies.
Automate routine tasks and develop tools such as Python scripts, bash scripts, and Makefiles to enhance system efficiency.
Establish observability and monitoring tools for effective troubleshooting, incident response, and alerting.
Perform system performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity planning to ensure optimal system reliability and efficiency.
Engage with Python-based data processing and modeling pipelines, utilizing tools like Snakemake and Apache Airflow.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience deploying cloud services such as GCP, AWS, Azure, and managing distributed microservices-based web applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.
Experience in an agile development environment.
