📋 Job Overview

We're hiring engineers who can build a complex AI-native product on a small team of former founders and top-tier builders. As AI gets better at building things, the bottleneck shifts to knowing what to build. We're the bridge between AI systems and what humans actually want. Our platform runs AI-moderated video interviews at massive scale, finding the right people from a network of millions and conducting open-ended conversations with thousands of them in parallel. Every interview feeds a human preference model, simulating human behavior at scale and exposing this as the Human API.

🎯 The Role

You solve problems end to end. The team is split vertically, so every engineer owns a part of the product and makes decisions across the LLM pipeline, infrastructure, backend, and UX. You'll work on challenges like maintaining a database of millions of people, developing emotional intelligence in our AI interviewer, updating the preference model, building the Human API, and evaluating qualitative outputs.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Build a complex AI-native product on a small team of former founders and top-tier builders
• Own a part of the product and make decisions across the LLM pipeline, infrastructure, backend, and UX
• Scope your own work, think about the customers, and own your decisions
• Ensure solutions are correct and go to root cause when something breaks
• Push LLMs to their limits by working directly with frontier model labs
• Communicate complex ideas in writing, as we work independently with one meeting a week
• Nerd out on technical details from language design to compilers

📌 Required Qualifications

• Experience building complex products or systems
• Ability to solve problems end to end
• Experience with LLMs or AI systems
• Strong technical background with attention to detail
• Excellent written communication skills

• Experience as a founder or working with founders
• Experience with AI moderation or video interview platforms
• Experience with databases, infrastructure, or backend systems
• Experience with UX design or front-end development

Competitive Compensation: The range for this role is $180,000 – $300,000 base. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, and work location.
