🎯 The Role

As Lead Atlassian Cloud Platform Engineer, you will own our Atlassian Cloud ecosystem in Bristol. This includes multiple sites and environments used across company boundaries. You will protect architectural integrity, strengthen governance and create scalable ways for teams to work. Your decisions will shape how Jira and Confluence support delivery across Graphcore. You will move configuration away from manual administration and into source control, APIs and pipelines. You will also lead automation for projects, workflows, permissions and access. This role starts hands-on, with daily support, onboarding and configuration. Over time, you will grow the platform team and define the operating model behind it.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Own the Atlassian Cloud ecosystem in Bristol, including multiple sites and environments used across company boundaries.
• Protect architectural integrity, strengthen governance and create scalable ways for teams to work.
• Shape how Jira and Confluence support delivery across Graphcore.
• Move configuration away from manual administration and into source control, APIs and pipelines.
• Lead automation for projects, workflows, permissions and access.
• Provide daily support, onboarding and configuration.
• Grow the platform team and define the operating model behind it.

📌 Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing Atlassian Enterprise Cloud as a lead or primary platform owner.
• Strong automation skills across Jira Automation, REST APIs, scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing configuration-as-code approaches for SaaS platforms.
• Strong understanding of identity-based access control, automated provisioning and Azure AD integrations.
• Experience building secure multi-tenant or cross-company collaboration environments.
• Clear consultancy skills, with the judgement to set standards and deliver outcomes independently.
