Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Job Overview

Our client is a family-owned tech company focused on cloud-native platforms and Kubernetes consulting. Interdisciplinary teams implement complex projects for clients from various industries – technically challenging, agile, and always at the forefront of modern technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and implement customer requirements in the Kubernetes environment

• Conceptualize and further develop cloud-native platform solutions

• Conduct customer and strategy workshops on technical and architectural levels

• Advise on architectural decisions and their impact on usability & operations

• Close collaboration with internal specialist teams (e.g., Security, DevOps, Infrastructure)

• Support implementation and introduction at the customer site or remotely

• Help shape long-term customer relationships in the context of technical consulting

Required Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in the field of Kubernetes / cloud-native platforms

• Deep understanding of container technologies and infrastructures

• Experience with integrating Kubernetes into complex corporate environments

• Knowledge of at least two hyperscalers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and ideally multiple Kubernetes distributions (e.g., OpenShift, Tanzu, Rancher)

• Technical background knowledge around networks, CI/CD, infrastructure, and security

• Able to communicate technical concepts clearly – even in workshops at the enterprise level

• Very good German language skills (at least B2) and a passion for teamwork & self-responsibility
