The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for working with highly functional development team automating service deployments; optimizing system performance; integrating with enterprise authentication services; establishing/improving system monitoring; maintaining established security protocols; provide customers technical support. The Cloud Engineer will be integrated with an agile environment participating with scrums and other meetings.

🎯 The Role

As a Sr. Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. You will work with a highly functional development team to automate service deployments, optimize system performance, integrate with enterprise authentication services, establish/improve system monitoring, maintain established security protocols, and provide customers technical support. You will be integrated with an agile environment, participating in scrums and other meetings.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• O&M of existing Red Hat OpenShift environment across multiple security domains in both Cloud and datacenter (vSphere) environments
• Support OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps
• Deploy OpenShift to new sites as they come online
• Work with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them
• Work with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions
• Support data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack
• Compile detailed documentation

📌 Required Qualifications

• Experience with Amazon Web Services
• Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS
• CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitOps
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming, Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
• 5+ years IT experience
• 5+ years experience with Platform as a Service Offerings (e.g. RedHat OpenShift, Tanzu, etc)
• Active DoD TS/SCI

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Experience deploying and managing RedHat OpenShift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment
• Python, Shell scripting, Git (desired)
• Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general
• RedHat Certified OpenShift Administrator

🎁 Benefits

Salary range: $130,000 - $170,000 a year. This is the likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
