Job Overview
Join the Cloud FinOps team at Hopper as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. We manage a large infrastructure in Google Cloud that serves millions of users globally. This is a 100% remote position with team members scattered across America and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Drive cost efficiency projects such as reducing network egress costs and optimizing storage solutions
Ensure autoscaling for databases and compute is well optimized
Improve cost attribution for clear team visibility
Provide support during incidents and participate in on-call rotation
Help solve infrastructure problems and review platform-related PRs
Required Qualifications
Strong background in SRE, DevOps, or Systems Engineering
Excellent troubleshooting and system design skills
Knowledge of major cloud providers, preferably Google Cloud
SQL knowledge and experience with containers and Kubernetes
Service Mesh experience, preferably with Istio
Networking knowledge including DNS, TLS, and certificates
Security knowledge including IAM, RBAC, and network security
Authentication and authorization technologies
CI/CD and database technologies
Scripting skills in Bash and Python
