Hamilton AI is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to own the infrastructure and internal platforms that enable our engineering team to ship fast without breaking critical systems. This role is infrastructure-first, with a secondary focus in backend or QA engineering. We're building the operating system for charter aviation, handling everything from trip planning to safety-critical data and sensitive customer information.
Key Responsibilities
Architect and operate Hamilton's CI/CD pipelines, build systems, deployment workflows, and runtime environments
Build abstractions that standardize how services are built, tested, deployed, and observed
Create release infrastructure, rollback strategies, and production validation systems
Build automated verification loops and quality signals for AI-accelerated development
Shape the integration of AI tooling into our development workflow as core infrastructure
Contribute to API design, service architecture, or automation frameworks based on your secondary skillset
Shape the long-term platform roadmap aligned with enterprise and regulatory requirements
Who Thrives in This Role
You've likely been the go-to person when builds break or deploys are problematic. You've built CI/CD pipelines that teams trust and are excited about AI's impact on code development. You:
Own problems end-to-end without waiting for specifications
Think in systems and tradeoffs rather than just tasks
Value reliability in environments where failure is costly
Communicate clearly across engineering, product, and leadership
Believe great platform work enables fast shipping rather than hindering it
