Job Overview

We're seeking a senior DevOps engineer to take ownership of our cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and security operations. This role requires a high level of ownership and the ability to enable our engineering team to deliver safely and at scale. This position is based in-person.

About the Company

At EtherFi, we envision a future of true on-chain banking. Our products, including Stake, Liquid, and Cash, allow users to earn yield through various DeFi strategies and spend their assets with our credit cards. Public analytics are available on Dune for both Cash and Stake.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a highly available and low-latency credit card processing path through capacity planning, autoscaling, and load/performance testing.

• Enhance security at the edge and APIs, including WAF, rate-limiting, bot controls, DDoS posture, and API gateway/TLS hygiene.

• Manage multi-account AWS infrastructure using Terraform, enforce SSO/MFA, and implement least-privilege IAM guardrails.

• Drive end-to-end observability (metrics, logs, traces), establish SLOs/error budgets, and maintain actionable alerts with clean dashboards.

• Handle threat detection and incident response, including immutable logging and Security Hub tuning.

• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling.

• Manage secrets and keys (AWS KMS/Secrets Manager), automate rotation, and maintain audited access.

• Collaborate closely with internal teams to enhance security processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure roles.

• Hands-on experience with Terraform, AWS, monitoring tools, and Docker.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a security-conscious approach to all DevOps and infrastructure tasks.

• Enthusiasm for joining a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.

• Experience in web3 is a plus.

Compensation

Salary Range: $170,000 - $200,000 annually, plus performance-based incentives and token allocation grant.
