Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team at Element 84. This role focuses on leading the design, implementation, and operation of cloud-native solutions, particularly within the geospatial domain, leveraging extensive experience with AWS and Azure.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Infrastructure and Security

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure cloud-native solutions on AWS and Azure.
• Collaborate with security experts to ensure cloud implementations meet organizational security requirements.
• Develop and maintain Terraform configurations across multiple cloud environments.
• Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines for rapid software deployment.
• Automate operational workflows using Python, Bash, and JavaScript.
• Assist in the migration of on-premise systems to cloud platforms.
• Define and advocate for DevOps best practices and standards.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Cloud Technologies.
• Expertise in Terraform, AWS, and Azure environments.
• Strong experience with Linux, Python, and infrastructure monitoring tools.
• Technical cloud certifications or willingness to obtain one.
• US Person status required for employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced certifications like AWS Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer.
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with Generative AI technologies and working in regulated environments.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $127,000 to $170,000, depending on experience and qualifications. This is part of a total compensation package that includes additional benefits and bonus opportunities.
