Job Overview

This job requires Japanese language ability. JD is available in Japanese only. The position is responsible for the infrastructure operations and maintenance of Mercari's corporate website, with a focus on the careers site careers.mercari.com. The role involves transitioning from vendor-dependent operations to in-house operations, establishing secure and reliable web site operation infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the infrastructure for Mercari's corporate website (primarily the careers site)


• Establish internal standards for repository operations, CI/CD, and deployment related to website construction and updates


• Design, implement, and operate web security measures (tampering detection, access control, vulnerability response, WAF operation, etc.)


• Collaborate with Creative team, external production companies, and Engineering team for requirements gathering, design, and implementation support


• Provide first response, root cause analysis, and recurrence prevention measures during incidents


• Conduct inventory of existing vendor-dependent operations and develop and execute phased migration plans for in-house operations

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of practical experience in web site construction and operation (CMS, static site generator, Headless CMS, etc.)


• Experience with Git/GitHub for source code management and CI/CD pipeline construction and operation


• Experience in operating web applications and infrastructure in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Vercel, Cloudflare, etc.)


• Basic knowledge and implementation experience of web security (vulnerability countermeasures, tampering detection, WAF, access control, etc.)


• Experience collaborating with related departments and external partners to organize requirements and translate them into technical specifications


• Proficient Japanese language skills (CEFR - C1) required


• Independent English language skills (CEFR - B2) preferred
