🎯 The Role
As a Kubernetes Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the operation, security, and further development of productive Kubernetes clusters on sovereign cloud platforms, particularly T Cloud Public (CCE).
✅ Key Responsibilities
Technical responsibility for operation, security, and further development of productive Kubernetes clusters on sovereign cloud platforms, especially T Cloud Public (CCE)
Administration of platform-related services such as Istio, Kyverno, OpenBao, Prometheus, Grafana, Fluent Bit, and OpenSearch, as well as RBAC and Network Policies
Deployments and configuration according to GitOps principles with FluxCD and Helm
Administration of Linux servers (Debian) with Ansible, including Docker-based workloads and PostgreSQL databases (backup, migration)
Setup and maintenance of cloud resources such as compute instances, networks, security groups, and IAM on T Cloud Public, Azure, and AWS
Proactive identification of improvement potential, advising customers on next steps, and shaping the technical platform roadmap
📌 Required Qualifications
Completed degree in (Business) Computer Science, IT specialist training, or equivalent qualification
At least five years of professional experience in the cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure environment, including several years of responsibility for productive Kubernetes environments
Sound experience with cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure or AWS – experience with sovereign clouds like T Cloud Public or STACKIT is a plus
Sound Linux knowledge and extensive experience with Ansible, Bash, and Docker
Deep practice with GitOps (FluxCD or ArgoCD) and Helm
Good understanding of network topics such as DNS, proxy, load balancing, and certificate management
Strong consultation skills and initiative – you convince customers with your own solution proposals and provide orientation in planning
Willingness to be present in the office or at the customer site in Munich three days a week
Negotiation-level German skills and very good English skills
