We are looking for an experienced Cloud & Platform Engineer to take a leading role in shaping, managing, and evolving our clients cloud and infrastructure services. Working across both Azure and Linux environments, you will be responsible for delivering secure, resilient, and high-performing platforms that support critical business operations.

🎯 The Role

This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will drive cloud modernisation, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), FinOps, observability, and platform governance. You'll work closely with architects, internal teams, and managed service providers to improve reliability, optimise cloud expenditure, enhance security, and ensure robust disaster recovery capabilities.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Take a leading role in shaping, managing, and evolving cloud and infrastructure services.
• Deliver secure, resilient, and high-performing platforms that support critical business operations.
• Drive cloud modernisation, automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), FinOps, observability, and platform governance.
• Work closely with architects, internal teams, and managed service providers to improve reliability, optimise cloud expenditure, enhance security, and ensure robust disaster recovery capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure platform services remain secure, scalable, and aligned with business and cyber security objectives.

📌 Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of dedicated hands-on cloud engineering experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Azure is required; experience with AWS is a significant plus.
• Proven experience with FinOps, IaC, configuration management, and modern CI/CD platforms.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD workflows.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
• A proactive drive to set and uphold technical standards and mentor others.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical work experience.
• Proven experience as a subject matter expert in operational infrastructure support and maintenance (including own and cloud data centres) in the oil and gas sector or equivalent, covering systems such as server, storage, back-up & recovery, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and security services.

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is preferred. Comparable AWS certifications are also valued.
