Site Reliability Engineer

Quattro Consulting is seeking Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) for a potential contract within the Department of Defense (DoD). SREs are responsible for ensuring that our systems and applications are reliable, scalable, and efficient. You will work closely with a team of developers and operations professionals to optimize our infrastructure and automate processes. This is a critical role that impacts the delivery of important services to the public and requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems and applications.
• Identify and troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to prevent future issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design highly available and scalable architecture solutions.
• Develop and implement tools and automation scripts to streamline operational processes and increase efficiency.
• Proactively analyze system performance and capacity and make recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in incident response activities, including on-call rotations, and provide timely resolution of issues.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures and implement security best practices.

Multiple positions may be hired from this announcement. This position is contingent on contract award.

Work Environment:

• Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).

• Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Physical Demands:

• While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
• Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.

Travel:

• 11-20% / Occasional travel.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Current Active Secret Clearance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
• Proven experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and networking protocols.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, and ELK stack.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to deliver high-quality solutions.

• Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Current, active Top-Secret security clearance.
• Familiar with Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) data collection.
• Strong comprehension of Agile Project Management methodologies.
