Head of DevOps

Job Title: Head of DevOps

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of DevOps to lead our operations teams at WitnessAI. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for driving continuous improvement in development and operations processes. This role involves both managing a team and being actively involved in both architectural and hands-on technical work.

• Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of DevOps / SecOps / MLOps engineers.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment

• Technical Expertise:

  • Design and be part of implementing multi cloud highly scalable enterprise microservice infrastructure 

  • Oversee the automation of infrastructure deployment and management

  • Ensure the reliability and performance of enterprise production environments

  • Deploy development services and integrate with enterprise security infrastructure

  • Help insure successful customer deployments

  • Strong knowledge of cloud and enterprise networking architecture

  • Compliance background - experienced with SOC2

  • Enable developer productivity

• Infrastructure Management:

  • Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) 

  • Manage operational cost model 

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions

  • Ensure security and compliance standards are met across all systems, with a focus on AI security solutions

• Project Management:

  • Effective planning, coordination, and execution of DevOps sprints and initiatives

  • Work closely with stakeholders to align DevOps goals with business objectives

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in scripting languages / shell

  • Coding helpful / solid debugging skills essential 

  • Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes,  Docker) in cloud environments

  • Familiarity with observability patterns, monitoring and logging tools
