We are seeking highly skilled and passionate DevSecOps engineers or Cloud Infrastructure Engineers with a security background to join our dynamic team at Wherobots. This role is pivotal in building and operating our advanced geospatial cloud database and its cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities
Security and Compliance
Champion Security: Promote a security-first mindset and secure coding practices.
Automate Security: Design and maintain security tools in our CI/CD pipelines.
Infrastructure Security: Harden our cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with security standards and conduct audits.
Incident Response: Develop and maintain plans and participate in security incident responses.
Monitoring and Logging: Implement solutions to detect and analyze security events.
Stay Current: Keep updated with the latest security threats and best practices.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, cloud infrastructure, or related roles focusing on security automation and compliance.
Proficiency in Python, Bash, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Google Cloud.
Experience with SDLC and CI/CD platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
Experience deploying and operating security tools like SAST/DAST scanners and vulnerability management solutions.
Solid understanding of networking, databases, cloud environments, and modern web technologies.
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: Wherobots offers a competitive salary range of $175k-$275k per year, depending on candidate's location, seniority, skills, and experience.
