Join our team as a Senior Cloud Engineer (AWS) at Valtech, where you will leverage your expertise in cloud technologies, infrastructure as code, and DevOps practices. This remote work engineering position is ideal for a seasoned software engineer looking to impact public-facing online platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, modify, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructures focusing on compute, data, and networking solutions.
• Implement and manage logging, monitoring, and security systems.
• Assist teams in setting up and maintaining their CI/CD pipelines.
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues, enhancing their technical skills.
• Provide proactive advice on cloud-related improvements concerning performance, availability, security, and reliability.
• Contribute as an L3 cloud engineer in our 24x7 on-call duty rotation.
• Ensure transparent communication and thorough documentation within project tools.
• Develop and maintain automation to streamline operations.

Required Qualifications

Prospective candidates should have at least 5 years of experience as a cloud engineer, specifically with AWS. Excellent communication skills are essential, ensuring clarity and transparency in all project-related interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PAAS, microservices, and container services such as Docker and Kubernetes will be advantageous.
