Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Fully Remote, Lviv, Ukraine. We will consider other European locations for the right candidate.
Contract Type: Full time, contractor, 40 hour week
Interviews: Max 3 stages totalling around 4 hours and one stage will be technical task

We are seeking a highly technical and proactive Engineer to add further support to the Engineering Team. The right person will make a significant impact by helping enhance our Engineering Team’s capabilities in developing a high-available fault-tolerant platform. In this role, you’ll be a part of the DevOps team, working closely with DevOps and Software engineers within our development team to meet the highest standards of software availability and performance ✨

- 2+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proficiency in Docker, Linux administration (Ubuntu, RHEL)
- Expertise in AWS stack: VPC, EC2, S3, IAM
- Expertise in Ansible, Bash
- Familiarity with Microservices, IaaC approach, High availability, Scaling, Fault tolerance, SDLC, CI\CD, Code promotion pipeline
- Understanding of DNS, network basics, Docker orchestration
- Basic knowledge of following tools: Jenkins, Git, MongoDB, MySQL, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Consul, Terraform, Nginx
- Basic knowledge of at least of one scripting language: Ruby, Python
- Basic understanding of following AWS services: RDS, Elasticache, Route53, CloudWatch, SNS, SES, Lambda, ACM, Athena, Quicksight
- Basic troubleshooting approaches
- A passion for learning new technologies and for continuous improvement
Nice to have:
- Experience in a remote, SaaS company
- A Master's degree education

While the below is not an exhaustive list of your duties, it outlines the bulk of the role on a day-to-day basis.
- Work as part of DevOps team in modified Scrum framework
- Support Software engineers with DevOps-related requests
- Performing routine tasks and automating routine as much as possible
- Working with our cloud provider AWS
- Investigate tech debt and ensure it is addressed
- Identify optimization opportunities
- Develop secure production, development, and test environments
- Use DevOps pipelines to deliver scalable and maintainable solutions
- Ensure smooth transitions between development and operational environments
- Work in collaboration with other parts of the company

- We are a 40 hour week, Mon-Fri and have core hours, unless stated otherwise or agreed. Being a small remote team, it's how we operate

Interview Process:
- Intro Call: You will carry out an intro call with our recruiter in the Ukraine
- Interview: If after the intro call, we’re both excited to proceed, you will be invited to a second stage interview with Zhanna, Head of Technology and perhaps another applicable Manager. This stage may include a technical task before or after the interview.
- Final Interview: Will be with Sarah, Head of People & Operations and Zhanna, Head of Technology
