Our tool sends an HTTP request to the specified host and measures the round-trip time. While it's not a traditional ICMP ping (which browsers can't do), it gives you a good indication of network latency and server responsiveness.

Why can't I use ICMP ping?

Web browsers are restricted from sending ICMP packets for security reasons. Instead, we use HTTP requests which closely approximate real-world web application latency.

What is a good response time?
