DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate DevOps Engineer to join our Messaging & Eventing team at Telia. In this role, you will work on exciting projects shaping the future of Telia’s Messaging landscape using next-generation architecture. You will play a direct part in making our systems stronger, smarter, and more resilient.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and improve Kafka infrastructure on private cloud, including Kubernetes environments


• Help drive the Kafka self-service concept forward


• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions


• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) for scalability


• Contribute to DevSecOps practices, including security automation and vulnerability remediation


• Leverage observability through integrated monitoring, alerting, and logging tools


• Collaborate with internal Telia stakeholders to serve messaging needs


• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for availability and incident response

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in Linux environment


• Experience in Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, or other)


• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms


• Hands-on experience building efficient CI/CD solutions (GitHub Actions, Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins, etc.)


• Comprehensive understanding of monitoring and incident management solutions


• Excellent spoken and written English and Lithuanian language skills


• Experience in backend/API development (Java/Go/Node.js) is an advantage


• Knowledge of Kafka or Artemis is a plus
