Technical Project Manager, City Infrastructure

Job Overview

Urban Infrastructure Solutions Architect at Woven by Toyota is responsible for driving the implementation of urban infrastructure required for proof-of-concept testing in Toyota Woven City. This role involves strategic planning, service design, and execution to support the test course infrastructure needed to solve societal challenges at the city level.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and propose the required IT environment and urban infrastructure solutions and system architectures based on proof-of-concept objectives and business requirements.


• Define system requirements, create specifications, and design the architecture, providing clear input to the development team.


• Plan and propose continuous operational improvements and updates for deployed equipment and system platforms.


• Collaborate with development teams and engineers to manage progress, identify issues, and adjust requirements.


• Manage projects to ensure delivery within budget and on schedule, including schedule, risk, and quality management.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in planning and implementing IT solutions.


• Experience translating business requirements into a concrete technical roadmap.


• Strong communication skills to structure complex technical requirements and explain them clearly to non-technical stakeholders.


• Logical thinking skills to lead technical decision-making.


• Strong logical thinking, with the ability to identify issues and solve problems.


• A proactive attitude toward identifying issues and driving improvement proposals through to execution.


• Japanese language skills sufficient to clearly communicate technical and business topics.


• English proficiency at a conversational level and a strong willingness to further improve English skills.


• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
