SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer specializing in the AWS ecosystem to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and resilient content-driven cloud-based solutions using a range of AWS services including Lambda, CloudFront, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, and other tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose innovative solutions, shape and enhance Tax Analysts’ web platforms, and deliver high-quality software that meets our evolving needs, all within an Agile environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet the department’s objectives.
1. Design, develop, and maintain enhancements to Tax Analysts’ AWS cloud infrastructure to support various applications and services.
2. Implement best practices in application monitoring and infrastructure operations.
3. Produce microservices or other application components to integrate business and database logic and third-party applications.
4. Design and implement database solutions ensuring data consistency, durability, and performance.
5. Integrate information, infrastructure, and application security best practices.
6. Enhance the scalability and reduce latency of highly available web solutions using AWS CloudFront, caching, API Gateway, and other technologies.
7. Enhance automated deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless and frequent updates to production environments.
8. Collaborate with the development team to define architecture, best practices, and coding standards.
9. Provide technical guidance and development support to team members, ensuring adherence to standards, practices, and project timelines.
10. Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize applications, services, and infrastructure to maximize efficiency and reliability.
11. Keep abreast of new or enhanced AWS services and development standards to identify opportunities for improvement and future-proofing applications.
