To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dynamic experienced and open-minded Data Engineer / DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) who wants to take the next step in his/her career with us and is interested in long-term development.
Your tasks
As a Data Engineer / DevOps Engineer with us, you will play a key role in the technical implementation of projects decided upon by the team. You will work directly with the Portfolio Management team, responsible for energy procurement and trading as well as consumption forecasts, helping to elevate our forecasting and automation tools to the next level. Your tasks include:
Implementing and optimizing our data architecture to support day-ahead, intraday, and long-term electricity consumption and feed-in forecasts.
Developing and automating processes for data procurement and processing using cutting-edge technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and implementing solutions to optimize our data architecture.
Ensuring operational stability and efficiency by monitoring and enhancing system performance, proactively addressing potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
Drive the development and implementation of process automation and data architecture optimization solutions, leveraging your ability to independently navigate through unfamiliar codebases and databases.
Before deploying to production, thoroughly review changes, test for edge cases and ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Deploying and managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient software development
Working with the team to advance our AI-driven forecasting models.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
At least 3 years of experience working with SQL, Python and Pandas.
Experience with Github, including project planning, management, and documentation.
Experience in process automation, preferably with Docker/Kubernetes.
Strong time management and project management skills.
A highly analytical personality with the determination to find precise solutions.
Willingness to question existing processes/ideas, as well as high integrity.
A strong team player with the ability to accept and work on criticism.
Big Plus:
Performance Profiling / Algorithm optimization is a plus.
German language proficiency is a plus.
