We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Staff Engineering team at Sortlist. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring our infrastructure is robust, scalable, secure, and developer-friendly. You will own the infrastructure and platform layer of our product, ensuring reliability, observability, cost-efficiency, and ease of use for developers.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Ownership: Own and maintain Sortlist’s infrastructure across AWS and GCP, define and implement a long-term infrastructure vision, and continuously optimize costs.
Reliability & Developer Experience: Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response, support engineers during system issues, and enhance developer experience through better sandboxes and streamlined deployments.
Collaboration & Influence: Partner with Backend and Frontend Staff Engineers, contribute to the Engineering Council, and lead post-mortems to drive reliability initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Solid experience as a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Platform Engineer in production environments.
Deep knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD automation.
Hands-on experience with FluxCD, Terragrunt, and Istio (or similar tools).
Strong grasp of networking, observability, and security in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a collaborative mindset and great communication.
Fluency in English and French.
