🎯 The Role
As a Solutions Architect Infrastructure, you will work closely with clients to develop comprehensive IT infrastructure solutions. Your responsibilities include advising clients on strategic IT infrastructure development, designing server, storage, and network infrastructures, and ensuring seamless integration of technologies.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on the strategic development and modernization of their IT infrastructure
Conceptualize and design server, storage, and network infrastructures
Develop on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based infrastructure architectures
Analyze existing client environments and derive appropriate target architectures and technology roadmaps
Create high-level designs, solution concepts, and technical architectures
Select and evaluate suitable technologies, manufacturers, and solution approaches
Provide technical advice on topics such as compute, storage, virtualization, networking, backup, and high availability
Conduct customer workshops, assessments, and technical presentations
Support the sales team in the presales process, from requirement gathering to solution development and customer presentations
Provide technical support for tenders, RFPs, and complex tender projects
Create technical performance descriptions, quantity structures, and solution designs as the basis for offers
Collaborate closely with system engineers and consultants in technical planning and implementation
Provide technical guidance for complex infrastructure projects and ensure the developed architecture is maintained during implementation
Monitor technological developments and evaluate new solutions and manufacturers for their use in our solution portfolio
📌 Required Qualifications
Several years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, preferably in an IT system house, managed service provider, or similar project environment
Solid knowledge in at least two of the areas of server, storage, and network, as well as a good understanding of their interplay
Experience in the conception of complex IT infrastructure solutions
Good knowledge of relevant infrastructure technologies, such as:
Server and compute platforms, e.g., from HPE, Dell Technologies, or Lenovo
Storage and data center technologies, e.g., NetApp, HPE, Dell Technologies, or Pure Storage
Network technologies, e.g., Cisco, Aruba, Fortinet, or comparable solutions
Virtualization, e.g., with VMware, Microsoft Hyper-V, or Nutanix
Understanding of adjacent topics such as backup & recovery, disaster recovery, security, high availability, and hybrid cloud
Experience in presales, technical customer consulting, or solution design is advantageous
Able to communicate complex technical relationships clearly and target-group-appropriately
Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style
Confident appearance towards technical counterparts and IT decision-makers
Good German and English language skills
