Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure and Systems Development

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions to support our growing platform and customer base.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for proactive issue resolution.
• Automate deployment processes and streamline infrastructure management using modern DevOps tools and methodologies.
• Evolve our backend architecture for both cloud and on-premise deployments.
• Lead initiatives to improve infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Strategic Planning and Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively to set and prioritize our roadmap to maximize customer impact.

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• 3+ years of experience in distributed systems, focusing on designing and managing cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Go, Java, React, TypeScript, Kafka/Redpanda, Flink, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform/CDK.
• Knowledge of cloud, on-prem, networking, and service architecture in multi-region, multi-cloud setups.

Compensation

Salary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 per year, plus equity and comprehensive benefits.

Location

The Sift team is based in El Segundo, collaborating in person twice a week. We value close proximity to our hardware partners in LA for regular site visits and hands-on collaboration.
