🎯 The Role

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at ioki, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with other teams and software developers to deliver a stable and secure product for our customers and users. Your day-to-day tasks will include automating infrastructure deployment, maintaining high-availability instances, and collaborating on DevOps and IT security standards, tools, and processes.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Provision and automate a highly available infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Ansible
• Maintain and operate our highly available instances
• Collaborate with other teams and software developers at ioki to provide a stable and secure product for customers and users
• Adhere to and improve DevOps and IT security standards, tools, and processes
• Operate a secure and resilient platform/CI by enforcing IAM, hardening, secrets management, backup/DR, and integrity checks for releases

📌 Required Qualifications

• Experience in building, operating, and securing modern cloud infrastructures
• Knowledge of applied cryptography and security (e.g., cipher selection, protocol security, attack vectors)
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, VPN, ARP)
• Enjoy deploying critical services in a high-availability environment
• Commitment to writing clean code for infrastructure automation
• Able and willing to learn quickly and independently. While we already have a DevOps toolchain and specific programming languages in use, concrete knowledge of them is not mandatory. What is important to us is that you bring general operations and software development skills, have high standards, and are proud of your work.
• Experience working with multiple people on the same codebase and tooling, understanding what that requires, and being open to sharing and improving our work together
• Desire to take responsibility for your work and create sustainable solutions that will last
• Able to implement security policies and document them properly

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Enjoy diving deep, e.g., in debugging C code of an open-source application we use in our stack
• Able to conduct security reviews and penetration tests (OWASP10 and more)
