This role is a great opportunity to work on the foundational cloud platform supporting a new product initiative. You will be responsible for establishing the Azure cloud foundation, DevOps practices, and Platform-as-a-Service environment that enables engineering teams to deliver high-quality software in an efficient, secure, and scalable manner. The project combines platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, automation, observability, and DevOps practices within a modern Azure ecosystem.
You will play a key role in establishing an \"automate everything\" and \"you build it, you run it\" engineering culture, delivering Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling that allows teams to ship feedback-ready increments on a continuous basis.
You will be:
set up and maintain Azure Platform-as-a-Service infrastructure including Azure Container Registry, Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, and Azure Entra External Identities,
design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting modern software delivery practices,
build platform-agnostic containerized deployment solutions to support future platform evolution and handover activities,
embed security, dependency management, compliance controls, and quality validation mechanisms into delivery pipelines,
collaborate with client cloud and security teams to provision and manage required infrastructure components,
implement Infrastructure as Code solutions to ensure environments are reproducible, auditable, and maintainable,
support engineering teams with platform capabilities, deployment automation, and operational best practices,
contribute to platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence initiatives,
participate in architecture discussions related to cloud-native platforms, DevOps practices, and operational models,
support troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities,
depending on seniority, take ownership of technical areas, support architectural decisions, and mentor less experienced team members,
Your profile:
strong commercial experience in platform engineering, cloud engineering, or DevOps-oriented roles,
strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Platform-as-a-Service offerings,
practical experience with Azure Container Apps, Azure Container Registry, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and Azure Entra identity services,
strong experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent technologies,
hands-on experience with containerization technologies, particularly Docker,
strong experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Bicep, Terraform, or similar tools,
understanding of security, compliance, dependency management, and software quality practices within cloud environments,
experience working within Agile delivery environments and sprint-based development processes,
ability to collaborate effectively with cloud, security, infrastructure, and development teams,
strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills,
experience supporting scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-native platforms,
practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery.
Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:
experience operating and supporting Azure API Management environments,
exposure to MLOps practices and AI platform hosting patterns,
familiarity with LLM hosting architectures and agentic AI workloads,
experience designing or preparing platforms for multi-region deployments,
knowledge of hub-and-spoke cloud networking architectures,
experience contributing to platform engineering strategies and internal developer platform initiatives,
experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.
Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
