🏢 About Qualco Group

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen our team by implementing, automating, and maintaining cloud‑native infrastructures, with a focus on Git workflows, MLflow, CI/CD pipelines, and Java application environments. The ideal candidate will contribute to automating infrastructure and ML workflows, ensuring stability, scalability, and high performance. This is a greenfield role with a high degree of ownership: you will define the architecture, tooling, and standards for our cloud-native platform.

🎯 The Role

Administration and deployment of containerized Spring Boot Java applications, including performance tuning, monitoring and runtime management; Administration of PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases (provisioning, backup/restore, migrations, performance tuning, high availability) and of Apache Kafka clusters (topic/broker management, monitoring, upgrades); Management of cloud infrastructure (Azure or other cloud platforms) including provisioning, autoscaling, monitoring, and cost‑efficient operation; Management of Git repositories following best practices in branching, versioning, and workflow design; MLOps with MLflow including experiment tracking, model registry, versioning, deployment, and integration with Kubernetes; Design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, ArgoCD) for applications and ML workflows; Infrastructure as Code automation using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, and template‑based provisioning; Containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes; Monitoring and observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and tracing tools; Close collaboration with development, data science, and security teams to achieve zero‑downtime deployments; Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Administration and deployment of containerized Spring Boot Java applications, including performance tuning, monitoring and runtime management;
• Administration of PostgreSQL/PostGIS databases (provisioning, backup/restore, migrations, performance tuning, high availability) and of Apache Kafka clusters (topic/broker management, monitoring, upgrades);

📌 Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (required);
• Master’s degree in computer science or related field (optional, a plus);
• 6+ years of experience in DevOps roles with emphasis on automation and cloud‑native environments (Azure preferred);
• Proven track record building infrastructure from scratch or leading a migration from VMs / manual deployments to containers and Kubernetes;
• Experience with GitOps workflows and version control systems;
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps);
• Solid skills in Docker and Kubernetes;
• Strong Linux and networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, load balancing, routing) and hands-on production troubleshooting and monitoring skills;
• Fluency in English both oral and written.

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, or Kubeflow Pipelines);
• Experience containerizing and operating Java / Spring Boot applications;
• Experience administering PostgreSQL (or other RDBMS) and Apache Kafka;
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm);
• Scripting knowledge (Python/Bash);
• Familiarity with Identity & Access Management tools such as Entra ID or Keycloak for authentication/authorization flows and secure user management;
• Participation in open‑source projects or DevOps communities.
