The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and continuously improving enterprise DevSecOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud-native application delivery capabilities. The role supports development teams by enabling secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery across multiple application portfolios and environments. The engineer works closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Developers, Test Engineers, Security Teams, and Operations Teams to standardize software delivery practices and improve deployment efficiency, governance, and operational resilience.

🎯 The Role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise DevSecOps platforms, CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and cloud-native application delivery capabilities. You will support development teams by enabling secure, reliable, and scalable software delivery across multiple application portfolios and environments. You will work closely with Solution Architects, Product Owners, Developers, Test Engineers, Security Teams, and Operations Teams to standardize software delivery practices and improve deployment efficiency, governance, and operational resilience.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application delivery.
• Implement deployment automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Support enterprise DevOps tooling and platform services.
• Maintain reusable deployment templates and shared DevOps components.
• Support application releases across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
• Automate deployment processes and rollback mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and coordinate production implementations.
• Support change and release management activities.
• Build and maintain containerized application deployment pipelines.
• Support Kubernetes/OpenShift-based application platforms.
• Manage application configuration, secrets, and deployment artifacts.
• Implement environment provisioning and platform automation.
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support code quality, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks.
• Promote shift-left security practices and automation.
• Assist teams in remediation of security findings.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to reduce manual operational effort.

• Drive adoption of DevOps best practices and engineering standards.

• Experience with DevOps platform engineering and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Knowledge of deployment automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Experience with enterprise DevOps tooling and platform services.
• Understanding of secure and compliant software delivery processes.
• Experience with standardized deployment frameworks.
• Knowledge of improved deployment success rates.
• Experience with reduced manual operational effort through automation.
• Understanding of reliable and repeatable production release capabilities.
• Experience with DevOps & CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Source Code Management, Release Management, Jira Administration, Confluence Administration.
• Knowledge of Cloud & Containers such as Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, AWS services eg. EC2, Security Group, S3.
• Experience with Automation tools such as Shell Scripting, Python, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Understanding of Quality & Security tools such as SonarQube, Nexus Repository / NexusIQ, Vulnerability Management, DevSecOps Practices.
• Experience with Monitoring & Operations such as Incident Support, Production Deployment Support, Operational Readiness, Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis.
