📋 Job Overview

0G is hiring its first dedicated DevOps engineer to own our cloud platform end to end: infrastructure, deployments, networking, security hygiene and cost. Today that work is spread across several developers. Our platform runs on five providers: Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Cloudflare and Vercel. It includes validator, seed, RPC, and archive nodes for our mainnet and testnet, confidential-computing (TEE) workloads, GPU machines and storage nodes, Kubernetes clusters and managed databases, a global RPC load balancer at the edge, and our web apps. All together, that is more than 200 virtual machines. You will be the person who knows what runs where, why it runs there, and what it costs.

0G is a company focused on building and operating blockchain infrastructure. We are looking for a dedicated DevOps engineer to take ownership of our cloud platform, ensuring its stability, security, and efficiency.

🎯 The Role

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure across multiple providers, including Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Cloudflare, and Vercel. Your day-to-day tasks will involve provisioning, upgrades, capacity planning, and the full resource lifecycle management. You will also be involved in Kubernetes operations, blockchain node fleet management, networking and edge services, infrastructure as code and CI/CD, observability and on-call duties, security and access management, cost management, and developer enablement.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Own the platform, from the network edge to the bill.
• Manage cloud operations on Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, and AWS, including rightsizing and releasing unused resources.
• Run, upgrade, and scale Kubernetes clusters, keeping them on supported versions and designing node pools, autoscaling, and Spot capacity.
• Operate blockchain node fleet, including validator, sentry, seed, RPC, and archive nodes.
• Design and manage networking and edge services, including VPC design, load balancers, DNS, Cloudflare Workers, Tunnels, and WAF.
• Implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform or Pulumi, Jenkins or an equivalent, and Argo CD or Flux.
• Set up observability and on-call duties, including metrics, logs, alerts, and dashboards.
• Manage security and access, including least-privilege IAM, secrets management, and securing databases and admin ports.
• Manage cost, including billing exports, budgets, alerts, tagging, monthly cost reviews, and commitment planning.
• Enable developers with templates, preview environments, documentation, and support.

📌 Required Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or platform roles, including 3+ years running production Kubernetes and owning CI/CD pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including upgrading control planes and node pools with no downtime, scheduling, autoscaling, networking inside the cluster, security, stateful workloads, and debugging.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including pipeline design, CI platform operations, build pipelines, deployment pipelines, infrastructure pipelines, and pipeline security.
• Knowledge of networking, including TCP/IP, subnets and CIDR, routing, NAT, L4 and L7 load balancers, DNS, TLS, firewalls, and VPC peering.
• Experience with Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Cloudflare, and Vercel.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Pulumi.
• Experience with Jenkins or an equivalent CI/CD tool.
• Knowledge of observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, CloudWatch, and Alibaba CloudMonitor.
• Experience with Linux systems administration.
• Understanding of databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and managed Kafka.
• Knowledge of blockchain nodes and P2P networking.
• Understanding of confidential computing, specifically Intel TDX virtual machines on Google Cloud and Alibaba Cloud.

⭐ Desirable Experience

• Experience with Argo CD or Flux for GitOps.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and BuildKit.
• Experience with container registries.
• Understanding of CometBFT-based chains and reth and other EVM clients.
• Experience with Vercel projects, builds, ISR, and team access.
