We're seeking a Senior Database Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and help us build and maintain a reliable, scalable, and secure database infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain database systems and infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability
Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency
Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability
Automate database operations and maintenance tasks to reduce manual effort and improve reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues
Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and best practices to continuously improve our systems
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in database administration and site reliability engineering
Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
Experience with database monitoring, performance tuning, and optimization
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and database services
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
