🎯 The Role

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for various software projects, including cloud services, AI models, and robot software. Your work will ensure that the development process is efficient, reproducible, and secure.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that every team at NEURA can go from code-commit to a tested, signed, and release-ready build.
• Develop reusable pipeline components and work closely with teams to optimally set up their CI/CD pipelines.
• Build a CI/CD catalog by designing, developing, and maintaining reusable GitLab-CI/CD components and templates.
• Optimize pipelines for robot software, including C++ and ROS-2 codebases.
• Automate packaging and releases, including Debian packages, multi-architecture Docker images, and semantic versioning.
• Integrate tests, including unit tests, integration tests, and hardware-in-the-loop tests, into CI/CD pipelines.
• Operate and scale GitLab Runner infrastructure on Kubernetes and AWS.
• Secure the software supply chain by integrating vulnerability scans, SBOMs, artifact signing, and secure cloud access.
• Support development teams as a consultant and sparring partner, reviewing their pipelines and developing improvements.
• Ensure seamless handover of artifacts to registries and platforms like JFrog Artifactory, Harbor, and EKS.

📌 Required Qualifications

• At least five years of experience in CI/CD, DevOps, or build and release engineering, preferably in an embedded, robotics, or automotive environment.
• Deep practical experience with GitLab CI/CD, particularly with components and catalogs, parent-child and multi-project pipelines, rules, and GitLab Runner administration.
• Strong experience with native build systems like CMake, Conan, or similar technologies, as well as Linux packaging. Knowledge of ROS or ROS 2 is a plus.
• Familiarity with Docker, especially multi-stage and multi-architecture builds, and Kubernetes. Experience with AWS is advantageous.
• Excellent Bash scripting skills and experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), such as Terraform. The principle is to automate everything that can be reasonably automated.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security, artifact management, and OIDC-based authentication.
• Enjoyment in supporting other engineers to improve their development and operations processes independently.
• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical decisions and conflicts clearly. Professional English proficiency is required; German proficiency is advantageous.
