Join Seasats as a Senior Network and Infrastructure Engineer to help scale backend systems supporting our growing fleet of field-deployed robots. This is an exciting opportunity to work with autonomous vehicles in customer hands across the globe and contribute to making our systems more resilient and serviceable.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and monitor diagnostic systems for Seasats servers and vehicles
Plan and implement system level improvements to harden the system, improve monitoring, facilitate maintenance, and enhance performance
Respond to urgent service calls during off hours
Quickly implement bug fixes and follow up with stable, well-designed resolutions
Think about the company’s scaling needs and stay ahead of future requirements
Proactively identify and mitigate risks
Experiment with next-generation hardware, software, or configurations for future integration
Required Qualifications
Extensive experience with networking, data layers, databases, servers, and server management
Comfort with routing, NAT, port forwarding, VPNs, VLANs, firewalls
Experience with industry-standard security protocols and measures
Knowledge of creating and managing Docker images and containers
Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting
Ability to support legacy systems while developing new ones
Enjoyment of occasional office IT projects
