What you’ll do:

• Build and maintain a developer toolchain / environment that helps our engineers work efficiently
• Evaluate and configure production systems including deployment, autoscaling, logging and monitoring
• Keep parity between staging, production, and development environments
• Improve performance and scalability
• Pitch-in with development tasks when things are running smoothly
• Build and improve processes and internal tools with simplicity and productivity in mind

You’re perfect for this role if you:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
• Have 5+ experience years building and maintaining applications that have reached a large audience, ideally while the product is experiencing rapid growth
• Have Kubernetes administration, monitoring and deployment experience 
• Have experience developing full-stack with Node.js, React or similar
• Have experience with cloud platforms such as AWS/Google Cloud Platform
• Have experience writing shell scripts and automations
• Have configured CI/CD pipelines
• Have configured deployments, autoscaling, logging and monitoring in production environments
• Can readily learn most technologies as you go

This is a Chicago-based hybrid position with 3 days a week in the office.
