Our Job:
We’re looking for well-rounded platform engineers to join our hardworking team! In this role, you’ll draw upon your past experience to create scalable, resilient solutions for games to exceed player quality expectations; you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving robust technical solutions to help our partners’ games delight players around the world.
We do not require prior game development experience for this role, but our ideal candidates will have experience working within software development teams to deliver performant, highly scalable, and well-documented platform-based products, as well as an openness to taking on new challenges, the flexibility to adapt to them in the moment, and a lasting passion for games themselves.
This is a hybrid role to be based in Cardiff, UK.
Your Profile:
3+ years of programming experience in front-end or full-stack development.
Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and an understanding of Agile practices.
Demonstrated history of leaving behind artifacts and leaving something in a better state than when you found it.
Strong critical-thinking skills and the know-how to solve problems and debug programs.
Capacity for self-motivation, the ability to work independently, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
Demonstrated history of team-based development.
Some Pluses:
Knowledge of / experience with various frameworks, such as React, TypeScript, or Next.js.
Experience driving development from ideation to deployment.
Opinions on the availability, scaling, monitoring, and debugging of discovered problems.
