Cloud Engineer

Raye IT is looking for an innovative and experienced Cloud Engineer to support a federal client within the Washington, D.C. area.

Responsibilities

  • Automate the provisioning and managing of Infrastructure resources required for the project.
  • Evaluate new technology and makes recommendations for implementation.
  • Analyze requirements for system upgrades and implementations including hardware/software resources, logistics and planning issues, testing and training.
  • Plan and to direct the activities of other engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, software engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of Cloud engineering experience
  • 5 years of Enterprise Data Management (EDW) experience in administering and provisioning Database servers, data backup and recovery procedures, auditing etc using On-prem or Cloud products. (Highly preferred)
  • Able to use Terraform at mid to senior level to build cloud infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience using Azure cloud services in provisioning and administrating services such as Azure Data factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis services and Azure Active directory.
  • Continuous integration, test automation and / or DevSecOps on iterative development projects.
  • Assist with leading and overseeing a total system perspective including technical understanding of relationships, dependencies and requirements of cloud, on premise, and hybrid services, infrastructure and security domains.

Preferred: Azure administration Certification.

Security Clearance Requirement: Public Trust.

Place of Performance: Washington, DC area (hybrid)

Schedule: Monday - Friday (Hybrid)
