Pragma is supporting healthy and vibrant online communities by creating a backend game engine— a platform of services and tools that enable game studios to launch live-service games.
You'll be joining a passionate, remote-first team (PT time zone) comprised of people that have scaled games such as League of Legends and Destiny 2 and many more games while at Riot, Bungie, PopCap, and EA. Team members have also scaled platforms at traditional tech companies including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, SendGrid and Tableau. About the Role
We are seeking passionate technologists to enrich our Sales team to ensure that our growth aligns seamlessly with our platform and customer requirements. Collaborating closely with our sales reps, this role will play a pivotal role in winning deals and driving the business forward.
The ideal candidate excels relationship builder and possesses a knack for swiftly understanding intricate technologies. They thrive in customer facing roles and enjoy fostering meaningful relationships through transparency, a service-oriented mindset, and the cultivation of trust.
Responsibilities
Own and refine the demo by continuously enhancing it based on new features, use cases, and customer feedback. Customize it to align with customer use cases and create compelling presentations.
Collaborate on comprehensive sales content, including pitch decks, webinars, tutorials, and walkthroughs to support the sales process
Actively participate in sales calls, assisting prospective customers in understanding how Pragma can benefit their game development and operations.
Develop expertise in the Pragma engine to effectively address highly technical questions during the sales process and explore integration possibilities within customers' existing infrastructure.
Ensure all relevant technical information is gathered and provide seamless technical hand-off of clients to the Customer Success team.
Represent Pragma at events by traveling with the sales team to conferences and customer visits, providing technical insights and support
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, other technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain deeply technical topics simply, and facilitate collaboration with a wide variety of customers.
2+ years prior experience in a Sales Engineering or similar role required
2+ years prior experience in software engineering or similar role required ideally development experience integrating with backend services, especially game platforms
Interest or understanding in the games industry
Game development, service development, or work with game engines like Unreal and Unity.
Ability to travel for the job (20%)
