Why Join Phil
As one of our initial internal IT hires, you'll play a pivotal role in expanding our IT, security, and compliance functions. This exciting position allows you to oversee a wide range of IT systems, manage compliance and security tools, and support our nationwide team. You will be instrumental in strategic IT and project planning, managing IT infrastructure across multiple pharmacy and warehouse locations, and ensuring the safety of employee, patient, and stakeholder data by adhering to security controls and HIPAA guidelines.
Job Duties
Understand and improve the existing IT ticket management process to better support onsite and remote team members needs and issues with proper SLAs
Take ownership of all the internal IT and security systems and build a roadmap to maintain, upgrade and replace as needed
Manage and maintain our Azure cloud infrastructure, which includes Entra ID, Windows Server and VPN
Automate the management of services and devices located in-house and with remote workers. Write automation scripts to gather data from the devices and run needed actions.
Support Tier-1 IT tickets from our internal team members
Manage and drive vendor relationships around IT services, equipments and other special projects
Handle day-to-day IT tickets from the employees within the defined SLAs but also understand the nature and trend of different tickets to make strategic changes to the IT roadmap and plan
Help with employee onboarding and offboarding. Closely work with HR and also develop the feedback loop to improving both onboarding and offboarding experiences
Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems.
Coordinating technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance
Selecting and purchasing new and replacement hardware and software, when necessary
Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems so that they operate effectively
Remaining up to date with advances in technology, industry best practices, cybersecurity trends, threats, and regulatory requirements to help the company
Establish a process to work closely with a compliance team to do risk assessments, internal audits for gaps and do analysis to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend appropriate remediation measures
Educate employees on IT best practices around security, such as Phishing, working from home etc
Requirements
Prior working experience of at least 5 years as an IT Manager or relevant experience
Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems - Windows, Mac, Linux
Experience with managing devices using JAMF and Microsoft Intune
Working experience with writing and executing PowerShell or similar scripting languages
Experience working with Azure Cloud, especially Entra ID (Active Directory), Windows Server, and Azure VPN
Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
Experience working with Cisco Meraki or similar equipment
Experience with managing GSuite
Experience working with JIRA Service Management or similar ticketing tools
Strong creative and analytical thinking
BS in Computer Science, MIS or similar field
Good understanding and experience of implementing controls and mitigating risks related to one or more of GDPR, PCI, HIPAA and other information security and data privacy standards
Solutions driven and proactive with hacker mindset to debug issues and get to the root of the problem or identify issues that are hidden
Experience conducting risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing
Solid understanding of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, endpoint protection, etc.
