As a Platform Engineer at Partly, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure. You will work alongside our development team, ensuring our systems are scalable, reliable, and efficient. This position is pivotal in supporting our on-prem and cloud environments, enabling our engineers to focus on building impactful software.
Infrastructure Management: Ensure the stability and scalability of our on-prem and cloud infrastructure for development and production.
Automation: Utilise tools such as infrastructure as code (IaC) to build robust, repeatable, and automated infrastructure. Includes deploying and maintaining systems such as Kafka and Kubernetes.
CI/CD: Take ownership of CI/CD pipelines to help maximise developer productivity.
Operational Excellence: Manage our critical on-prem systems including servers, VPN and WiFi to ensure seamless operations.
Cost Efficiency: Optimise cloud and on-prem costs, ensuring we leverage our infrastructure investments effectively.
Experience: 3+ years with exposure to infrastructure or DevOps, with a focus on both cloud and on-prem environments. Note this could be as an engineer
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Linux, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker and other open-source technologies.
Engineering Mindset: Ability to understand the broader engineering context to make informed infrastructure decisions.
Ownership: High degree of ownership and bias for action, with a proactive approach to solving problems.
Collaboration: Strong communication and collaborative skills, both written and verbal.
Adaptability: Willingness to take on diverse tasks and adapt to the evolving needs of the team.
(Bonus) Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
(Bonus) Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
(Bonus) Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
