Job Overview

We're seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our team. This role is based in our New York office with relocation support available. We welcome candidates interested in remote work opportunities and those seeking technical engineering positions that leverage AI and machine learning technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Collaboration

• Partner with global news organizations - from leading national publishers to non-profit, local, and independent newsrooms
• Implement technology solutions that benefit newsroom operations, customer service, internal business operations, marketing, audience development, and sales

Solution Development

• Experiment and prototype solutions with and for customers
• Contribute to open-source developer and enterprise resources
• Validate, synthesize, and deliver high-signal feedback to Product, Engineering, and Research teams

Knowledge Sharing

• Scale the Solutions Architect function through knowledge sharing and best practices
• Publish notebooks to internal and external repositories

Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of technical consulting (or equivalent) experience
• Deep understanding of news organizations' business models and operating structures
• Experience leading complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python and JavaScript
• Experience building and delivering prototypes on API platforms
• Ability to leverage AI and machine learning technologies

Personal Qualities

• Proactive problem-solver who can identify opportunities for maximizing business value
• Ability to own problems end-to-end and quickly acquire new knowledge
• Humble attitude with eagerness to help others and demonstrate empathy
• High capacity for context switching and working on multiple projects
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity in dynamic environments

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $220K - $280K, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
